The name ‘Pardon My English’ belongs to one of the best known musicals by Ira and George Gershwin. Pardon My English includes songs that span  from American vocal chamber music to contemporary  musical, passing through cabaret reminiscences and American musical theatre repertoire. The programme includes known and lesser known songs by American and British composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, William Bolcom, and Benjamin Britten. I have already performed this repertoire in England, USA, Italy and most recently in Ireland and Switzerland. The most beloved pieces of this recital, from “The Man I Love” to “But not for me” generally immerse the audience ina Broadway-like atmosphere, and allows them to relax and enjoy the music and the imaginary lively world it depicts.

A George Gershwin Prize (2007) winner, Francesca promises sure entertainment to a broad audience of musical theatre and popular music lovers.
